Through dedicated projects and partnerships, Drive Forward Foundation explores what truly works for care-experienced young people — strengthening opportunities, shaping better outcomes, and driving meaningful change.
Impact evaluation with Youth Futures Foundation
We are working in partnership with Youth Futures Foundation on a large-scale impact evaluation of our programme, using a randomised controlled trial (RCT). This independent study is testing the effectiveness of our approach in supporting care-experienced young people into sustainable and fulfilling employment.
Through this evaluation, we aim to build robust evidence about what works in youth employment, not only to strengthen our own practice but also to inform wider policy and create better opportunities for care-experienced young people across the UK.
Apprenticeships and Care-Experienced Young People
We are carrying out research to understand the barriers and opportunities care-experienced young people face when accessing apprenticeships. The project explores how policies, support, and employer practices could be improved to make apprenticeships more accessible and beneficial.
The findings will be published in a report in April 2026.
